Famous Mathematician Project

Algebra 1 Project: Researching a Famous Mathematician and creating a brochure/poster/presentation about that mathematician.

Five class periods are set aside in the library  - Monday March 17 through Friday, March 21.
The final project is due in class Monday, March 24. You will lose 5 points per day for every day it is late.

On Monday, March 17 you will draw the name of a mathematician in class.  Every student will research a different mathematician.

You will spend class on Monday researching in the library materials (encyclopedia, books) for information about your mathematician.  If you cannot find enough information, you may choose to draw another name and continue with your research.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday you will have an opportunity to research online and to use computer applications to create your brochure/poster/presentation.  You may work at home home over the weekend if your wish to work on it some more. Most of you should finish by Friday.  The due date is Monday, March 24.
